  1. Ecclesiastes 6:3 reminds me of a woman I worked with many years ago. She worked in the laundry at a large hotel in Fort Worth and she was unpleasant to everyone who had to go through her to pick up their uniforms every week. And then one day she wasn’t there. Word came through that she had died and the news spread through the hotel staff. Out of decency no one spoke ill of her, but nobody said anything else either. Over one hundred people just shrugged and finished out their day.
    Perhaps this is what to author is driving at when he references the many children but none of them provide a burial for their father. Don’t live your life in such a way that nobody cares when you die.
